Today (25th) is the first day of consecutive Mid-Autumn Festival and Teacher's Day holidays. The traffic volume from 0 to 5 am today is 12.5 million vehicle kilometers, which is three times the annual average on weekdays. There is currently a lot of traffic on some sections of National Highway No. 1 and No. 3, and measures such as ramp closures and high-occupancy control will also be implemented today.

The Highway Bureau of the Ministry of Transport stated that currently, only the section of National Highway 1 southbound from Yangmei to Hsinchu; National Highway 3 southbound from Shulin to Plateau; and National Highway 3 northbound from Ankeng to Muzha have many vehicles. Today's national highway-related diversion measures include the National Highway 5 Shiding, Pinglin and National Highway 1 Pingzhen systems from 0 to 12 o'clock, the south entrance ramp of the Puyan system is closed, the southbound west national highway from 6 to 12 o'clock has high passenger load, a single rate, the National 3 Hsinchu system to the Yanchao system adopts a single rate and 20% off the toll, open shoulders, alternative roads, ramp instrument control, etc.

According to the forecast of the Gaogong Bureau, the key road sections with congestion this morning are the southbound Yangmei-Toufen, Wangtian-Yuanlin, Yuanlin, and Yuanshan-Dahua systems on National 1; the southbound Zhonghe-Guanxi, Baoshan-Xibin, Kuaiguan-Wufeng, Caotun-Mingjian, Guanxi, Baoshan, and Mingjian systems of National 3; the southbound Nangang system-Toucheng of National 5; and the eastbound Dingjin system-Yanchao and other sections of National 10.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recommends that southbound users of the Western National Highway depart after 12:00, and southbound National Highway 5 users are advised to depart after 17:00 to save valuable time. The High Power Bureau and the Highway Bureau worked together to establish the "Joint Highway Distribution Center" to jointly monitor continuous road conditions and coordinate responses in real time.

In addition to the national road condition forecast (real-time traffic conditions, road condition forecasts, control measures, driving recommendations, etc.), the High Commissioner also publicizes provincial highway and expressway diversion information (control measures, congestion forecast, national highway passenger transport preferential measures, etc.), and collaborates across agencies to integrate traffic information.
