The European Union hopes that the United States will refrain from introducing a ban on the export of diesel fuel. Bloomberg reported this.

As EU Energy Commissioner Dan Jorgensen said, Brussels sent a very clear signal to US Energy Secretary Chris Wright that such a ban would not be in anyone's interests. Raita allegedly agreed with this and promised not to support restrictions on diesel supplies to foreign markets.

According to Fatih Birol, executive director of the International Energy Agency, Europe is one of the most vulnerable regions, if not the most vulnerable, when it comes to diesel fuel. Almost 50 percent of this fuel comes from the United States.

In turn, Irish Energy Minister Darragh O'Brien also said that a visit to the United States last week and meetings with the US Chamber of Commerce gave him the impression that the White House would refrain from introducing a ban on diesel exports, as such actions would harm American refineries.
