Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a congratulatory letter to Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon, noted the dynamic development of relations between Moscow and Dushanbe in the spirit of strategic partnership.

Putin emphasized that the recent meeting in Bishkek confirmed the strengthening of Russian-Tajikistan ties and expressed readiness to continue dialogue and joint work.

The Russian leader noted the significant successes of Tajikistan in the social and economic fields under the leadership of Rahmon.

MOSCOW, September 8 - RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a congratulatory letter to the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in honor of the 35th anniversary of the republic’s independence, noted the dynamic development of relations between Moscow and Dushanbe in the spirit of strategic partnership, the press service of the head of the republic reported.

The state independence of Tajikistan was proclaimed on September 9, 1991.

“Relations between Moscow and Dushanbe are dynamically developing in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance, which was fully confirmed by our recent meeting in Bishkek. And we will undoubtedly continue a constructive, meaningful dialogue and close joint work to further build up the entire range of mutually beneficial Russian-Tajikistan ties - for the benefit of our friendly peoples, in the interests of strengthening security and stability in Central Asia,” the press service quotes Putin as saying.

The Russian leader noted that under the leadership of Rahmon, Tajikistan has achieved significant success in the social and economic fields, and is also making a significant contribution to resolving important issues on the regional and international agenda.
