中秋佳節將至，當家家戶戶準備團圓之際，社會角落仍有許多家庭為生計愁眉不展，高雄鳳山著名的300年古廟「鳳邑雙慈殿」於今（12）日中秋前舉辦年度愛心物資發放，總計砸下超過360萬元，造福鳳山等8個行政區、約4500戶低收入家庭。

鳳邑雙慈殿建廟已有300多年歷史，早期原名天后宮，主祀觀音佛祖及天上聖母，數百年來香火鼎盛。林明賢表示，廟方長期秉持「取之於社會、用之於社會」的理念，善行不僅止於中秋發物資，更擴及國內外賑災、低收入戶微型保險、獎助學金與急難救助。
