Konstantin Kosachev called the expulsion of Russian diplomats by Hungary an unfriendly step

Vice Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev called Hungary's expulsion of Russian diplomats an unfriendly step, which will be followed by an adequate response. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“Any expulsion is an unfriendly step. “Group” expulsion, as in this case, is an unfriendly step, it is confrontational. This is a frank challenge, to which Russia, of course, will respond adequately,” Kosachev said.

According to the Russian politician, this action reflects the position of Brussels along the lines of the European Union and NATO, which demanded that Hungary “demonstrate loyalty to the anti-Russian course.” At the same time, he pointed out that the choice was made in favor of European solidarity against “the practical benefits of maintaining normal relations with Russia.”

“But in any case, Hungarian taxpayers will have to pay the bills,” Kosachev concluded.
