The search operation will be carried out over an area of ​​approximately 90 square kilometers, teams will enter from rivers and forest roads.

The Interstate Aviation Committee began an investigation into the disappearance of the helicopter.

The helicopter of the Granat company disappeared during forest aviation work in the Terneysky district in the north of the Primorsky Territory on June 21. On board were a woman pilot with extensive experience and a pilot observer. The searches were carried out in difficult, mountainous terrain. A case has been opened for violating safety rules. On August 4, ground searches were suspended, but aircraft and drones continued. The active search phase has been suspended since September 1.

“Somewhere at the end of October, on the 20th, we’ll probably start. There won’t be any snow there yet, and if it does, I think it’s okay. We have our own “squares”: 10 (square – ed.) kilometers to Svetlaya. And beyond Svetlaya to Edinka - this whole route deep into the forest, about 90 square kilometers. A big nickel,” said the interlocutor.

He noted that one group will enter from the rivers, the other from the forest on motorcycles; there are forest roads there.

The pilot’s brother also said that funds are being raised for the search operation, and some of the necessary items have already been purchased. The most expensive equipment is satellite phones and navigation; the forest protection department promised to help the volunteers with them.
