Jiuhuashan Dizang Temple in Chiayi City joins hands with the Chiayi City Government to organize a Mid-Autumn Festival product distribution event today. The products "Come from Ten Directions, Go from Ten Directions" from believers from all directions in the seventh lunar month will be distributed to a total of 1,318 low-income and marginal households, as well as 60 institutions, to accompany people in need to spend the warm Mid-Autumn Festival.

Huang Minhui said that folk belief is an important force in stabilizing society. Jiuhuashan Dizang Temple has cooperated with the city government since 2005 to share the Zanpu products in July of the lunar calendar to those who need it most every year. Today, a total of 3,200 Zanpu products and 19,000 kilograms of white rice were distributed, conveying warmth and the power of never giving up to the public on the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, so that disadvantaged people can spend the festival with peace of mind.

Huang Minhui said that the Chiayi City Government will expand the health care premium subsidy for the elderly starting from October. The subsidy targets will be relaxed from the original 80 years old to those over 65 years old. The city government will directly connect with the Central Health Insurance Bureau. People do not need to apply by themselves. Each person will automatically withhold 826 yuan per month to reduce the financial burden on the elderly and young people. She also reminded that the relevant subsidies are automatically processed by the city government. If you receive a message claiming to be able to apply for it, do not believe it and be vigilant to prevent fraud.

Cai Erjian said that in line with Ksitigarbha Pusa's spirit of rescuing people in need and helping the disadvantaged, Zampu products are distributed every year after July of the lunar calendar and on the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival. This not only gathers public love and delivers positive energy, but also hopes that under the protection of Ksitigarbha Pusa, the cycle of kindness can continue and everyone can share a strong sense of humanity.

The Municipal Social Affairs Department said that this year’s distribution targets are 1,171 low-income households and 147 marginal households, for a total of 1,318 households. In addition, there are also 60 institutions such as kindergartens, correctional homes, and social welfare groups in Chiayi County.
