The Ministry of Economic Affairs’ “Wonderful Good Market Coupon” is now available, offering double discounts at 4 night markets in Kaohsiung for 4 consecutive weeks

In October this year, the Ministry of Economic Affairs called on 40 night markets across Taiwan to launch the "Wonderful Market Coupons" event for four consecutive weeks. Four night markets in Kaohsiung participated.

The Gao City Economic Development Bureau pointed out that the four night markets are Guanghua Night Market, Zhongxiao Night Market, Xingzhong Night Market and Nanhua Business District Night Market. During the event, as long as the public brings their own reusable bags, reusable cups or reusable tableware and other plastic reduction supplies, and after confirmation at the designated night market service desk, they can exchange 100 yuan in cash for a "Wonderful Good Market Coupon" worth 200 yuan. The validity period is until November 8 this year, while stocks last.

Director of Economic Development Liao Taixiang said that night markets are not only deeply rooted in citizens' daily diet, but also a representative landmark that domestic and foreign tourists must visit. In order to create a comfortable consumption area, the city government has actively promoted the improvement of the night market's hardware environment in recent years, including adding grease traps, updating entrance imagery, setting up pedestrian traffic barriers, and updating toilets. It also continues to provide guidance to stall vendors on self-management of food safety and the environment.

The Wonderful Good Market Coupon will run for four consecutive weeks on October 10, 17, 24 and 31. The "Good Market Bag Walk" plastic reduction event will be launched simultaneously on-site, and festival-limited reusable bags will be distributed to deepen citizens' implementation of the green consumption concept of bringing their own bags.
