The Coast Guard's Kinmapeng Branch stated that on the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival, a Chinese Coast Guard ship once again entered the Kinmen waters today, and even deliberately turned off the automatic identification system (AIS) of the ship in "hidden ship" mode in an attempt to hide its whereabouts. However, it was still detected and locked by the Chinese Coast Guard. Patrol boats were immediately dispatched to respond and drove away the four Chinese Coast Guard ships.

The Kinmapeng Branch pointed out that with the Dragon Boat Festival holiday approaching, the Chinese Coast Guard ship once again broke into the Kinmen waters today following the intrusions on June 3 and 16. When the Coast Guard ship approached the Kinmen waters, it deliberately turned off the automatic identification system (AIS) of the ship in an attempt to hide its whereabouts, thinking that it could sneak into our restricted waters, but it was still detected by the coast guard.

The Kim Ma Phong Branch pointed out that the 12th Patrol Area, through all-weather uninterrupted intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance energy, detected that the Chinese Coast Guard ships began to gather in formation in the afternoon; at about 3 o'clock, four Chinese Coast Guard ships numbered "14606", "14531", "14607", and "14530" formed a column, and since The southern part of Lieyu Island in Kinmen broke into the restricted waters of Kinmen. Our coast guard boats immediately carried out "1-on-1" parallel monitoring, collected evidence throughout the process, and shouted to the Chinese Coast Guard ships via radio broadcasts in Chinese and English, asking them to turn away immediately. In the face of our continued forceful expulsion, the Chinese Coast Guard ships all sailed out of the restricted waters of Kinmen at around 5 p.m.

The Kinmen-Pengheng Branch stated that Chinese Coast Guard ships continuously intruded into Kinmen waters before the Dragon Boat Festival holiday and broadcast remarks promoting reunification. The Kinmen Coast Guard responded with a stern warning and asked the Chinese Coast Guard to immediately stop irrational harassment behavior. This is the only way to maintain regional peace.

The Kinmapeng-Peng Branch stated that in the face of the continued gray zone harassment by Chinese Coast Guard ships, the Coast Guard will continue to uphold a firm law enforcement stance and safeguard peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.
