German Foreign Minister visits Kyiv and promises to increase aid to Ukraine

(Central News Agency, Kyiv, Comprehensive Foreign Reports on the 22nd) When German Foreign Minister Waldorf visited the Ukrainian capital Kiev today, he severely criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin for intensifying the "brutal aggressive war" against Ukraine and promised to provide Ukraine with more assistance.

Agence France-Presse reported that Johann Wadephul and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga attended a press conference together and said: "Russia's brutal war of aggression... shows no signs of abating."

"On the contrary, Vladimir Putin has even escalated the intensity of the war. He deliberately terrorized civilians and attacked civilian infrastructure with missiles and swarms of drones."

Wadford announced an additional 50 million euros in humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which will be allocated to United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations assisting people in areas near the front lines.

He pointed out that Germany will also inject 10 million euros into a fund under the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The funds from the fund will be used to strengthen Ukraine’s energy network and improve systems to defend against drones.
