The four-day holiday of Mid-Autumn Festival and Teacher's Day starts today. Today, 13 towns and cities in Hsinchu County are still collecting garbage in Baoshan, Emei and Wufeng's Houshan area. All other towns and cities will stop garbage collection. Tomorrow (26th), except for Jianshi, Emei and Wufeng, garbage collection will be suspended. The other 10 towns and cities will clear and transport garbage normally.

Xiao Hongjie, director of the county environmental protection department, reminded the public that after the waste cleanup law was revised in mid-July this year, the upper limit of fines has been increased for those who fail to classify general waste in accordance with the regulations, or discard garbage at will, with a maximum fine of 100,000 yuan. Therefore, everyone is requested to cooperate with the cleanup time of each township and city and hand over the garbage to the cleaning team. Do not pile garbage on the roadside or under telephone poles in advance during non-clearance time, otherwise you will be fined.

Xiao Hongjie also said that in addition to paying attention to the garbage collection and transportation times in towns and cities during the holidays, it is more important for the public to do a good job in garbage classification, resource recycling and garbage reduction. When recycling food waste, drain the water first and then put it into the food waste bin behind the garbage truck. Do not mix it with general garbage. On a daily basis, we separate the three categories of "general garbage", "resource recycling" and "food waste" to reduce the amount of garbage and maintain environmental sanitation. It also allows resources to be recycled and reused, reducing the burden of urban garbage.

The Environmental Protection Bureau stated that the garbage collection and transportation status for the four consecutive days of holidays is as follows: Today (25th), only Emei, Baoshan and the Wufeng back mountain area will be collected normally, and the rest will be suspended. Tomorrow (26th), Saturday, there will be garbage collection and transportation in Zhubei, Xinfeng, Hukou, Xinpu, Guanxi, Xionglin, Hengshan, Zhudong, Baoshan, and Beipu. Garbage collection will be suspended in Jianshi, Emei, and Wufeng Township.

On Sunday (27th), all 13 towns, towns and cities in the county stopped collecting garbage for one day. Next Monday (28th), except for the Xinpu, Hengshan, Beipu and Wufengqianshan areas where garbage collection will be suspended, the rest will be cleared and transported normally.
