After 4 years of debut, they recently officially announced that all members will open personal Instagram accounts, which made fans excited. In addition, to coincide with the launch of the new song, XG has opened pop-up stores in two locations in Taipei. Taiwan ALPHAZ (fan name) must not miss it.
Previously, XG's official Instagram suddenly followed 7 mysterious accounts, triggering enthusiastic speculation among fans. Now it has been officially revealed that these accounts are the personal official accounts of the 7 members. In conjunction with the release of the new single "DEPENDS", the XG pop-up store "XG 『DEPENDS』 POP-UP SHOP presented by GiGO in Taipei" will also be launched in Taipei simultaneously. It will be available at Plaza No. 5, District Y, Taipei Underground Street until the 15th. The TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Songyan store will be open until the 17th. The store not only sells official products from the XG World Tour "THE CORE", but also prepares a wave of GiGO limited co-branded products for ALPHAZ fans. The title song "DEPENDS" combines the nostalgic Electro Pop and R&B lyrical atmosphere from the late 2000s to the early 2010s, with layered harmonies and varied rap vocals, presenting a music style that intersects retro and modern feelings. The song takes "It depends" as its core, describing that in a world where everything is required to be a YES or NO choice, there are still many things that cannot be easily determined. It turns the true feelings of "I don't know yet" and "still looking for answers" into a melody, and sings about the state of mind of continuing to move forward even if you are confused.
Another included song "S.A.D" is based on the classic R&B of the early 2000s, incorporating modern rhythmic arrangements, rhythmic percussion and nostalgic harp melody to create a unique atmosphere. The song expresses irrepressible emotions through the straightforward "Sad all day" and asks "Is it fragile or strong in the face of sadness?", leaving the answer to each listener.
The "DEPENDS" MV released this time also shows a new side of XG. The story begins when the members are suddenly attracted by brightly colored mysterious life forms. These life forms symbolize the seven members, each of which is a strange creature that does not exist in the real world. The 7 people chased them all the way, traveling through 4 completely different styles of scenes. As the plot progressed, they continued to enter unexpected new worlds. The MV styling is also full of ingenuity. In the colorful traditional clothing styles of the 1980s, the members deliberately matched ties in different ways to break the established dressing rules.
