Russian troops received a new Iva MANPADS, not previously publicly announced

The Russian Armed Forces (AF) received a mysterious man-portable anti-aircraft missile system (MANPADS) “Iva”, the existence of which had not previously been reported in the public space. The American portal TWZ writes about this.

The publication drew attention to a report from one of the Russian TV channels, which showed a new weapon. “This system has nothing in common with any of the Russian families of MANPADS used by the country’s armed forces,” the publication says.

It also states that a visual analysis of the MANPADS reveals its similarities with certain Chinese and Iranian weapons.

Earlier, the High-Precision Complexes holding of the Rostec state corporation reported that the Verba MANPADS can effectively shoot down various targets in the zone of a special military operation.
