The US President expressed his optimism that the negotiators could make progress during their upcoming visit to Moscow, noting that he had sent Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner to Moscow, describing them as excellent negotiators.

"We sent them to see if we could achieve anything," he added.

When Trump was asked whether Witkoff and Kushner would present any new American proposal to settle the Ukrainian crisis, Trump stressed that “the American proposal that Witkoff and Kushner will bring to Moscow is not new.”

Trump explained that the United States has a vision of what a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine could look like, saying: “We have a vision for peace,” without providing any details.

He pointed out again that he had resolved eight wars, admitting at the same time that he considers resolving the Ukrainian crisis the easiest task. He hinted that "personal differences" were hindering this.

US President Donald Trump also confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not attack NATO territory, saying: “I had good conversations with him... He will not attack NATO territory,” and I know him well.

Trump's statements come in the wake of media reports that US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will visit Moscow first and then Kiev from September 5 to 6.

Russian President Vladimir Putin had said earlier that the negotiation process regarding Ukraine is still in a state of stagnation, stressing Moscow's readiness for dialogue with all parties wishing to do so.
