A committee on technological leadership will be created in the State Duma

The State Duma will create a committee on technological leadership, which will deal with issues of marketplaces, drones and artificial intelligence (AI). Vedomosti writes about this.

Today, the Economic Policy Committee is responsible for marketplaces and the creative economy, the Industry Committee is responsible for drones, and the topic of artificial intelligence is mainly the responsibility of the Information Policy Committee. Now they plan to combine issues related to the elements of the new economy within the framework of the work of one committee of the State Duma.

According to the publication, the new committee could be headed by Alexander Sidyakin, who holds the position of head of the central executive committee of United Russia, and in particular, oversees issues of technological development, including the activities of the Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies.
