A total of 9 Guangzhou athletes represented the country in the competition in 8 events of this world competition, and won 7 gold medals and 1 winning award. The number of gold medals accounted for more than half of Guangdong Province and about one-sixth of the total number of gold medals in the country, ranking first among cities across the country.

After 22 hours of meticulous carving, he used every step of the planing and careful consideration to create a solid wood handrail staircase that amazed the audience and won the gold medal in the fine woodworking project. Accumulating energy and advancing step by step are the foundation for the breakthrough of CAD mechanical design projects. Song Junye, a contestant from Guangzhou, made precise judgments and performed stably with accurate three-dimensional modeling and rigorous and standardized design output, and finally won the gold medal.
From single-player competition to double-player collaboration, Guangzhou’s advantageous tracks are constantly increasing. In the robot system integration project, Guangzhou players won the gold medal for the first time in the 47th World Championships, achieving a "good start". This year, Li Haoyang and Luo Luowei competed together. The two cooperated tacitly throughout the entire process of production line deployment, programming optimization, and joint debugging and testing. They accurately controlled the robot to complete tasks such as automobile welding, overcame many technical difficulties, and finally won the gold medal.
Following the wave of global industrial changes, seven new competitions have been added to this year's World Championships. Guangzhou contestants competed in two new competitions: software testing and digital interactive media design, demonstrating Guangzhou's rapid reserve of skilled talents in emerging industries.
The world championship-level software testing competition competes on systematic thinking, engineering practical ability, analysis and judgment ability and comprehensive professional quality. Guangzhou player Lan Duancheng won the first gold medal in this project, which also means that he has the comprehensive ability of an excellent test engineer to solve project problems.
The digital interactive media design competition is based on the forefront of the global digital industry, requiring contestants to complete demand analysis and planning, as well as the design, production, aggregation and optimization of pictures, videos, interactive animations and other materials. Guangzhou contestant Liu Kaiwen switched between material production and interactive animation in an orderly manner. With solid programming skills and keen awareness of user experience, he implemented his creative ideas step by step into smooth and immersive digital interactive works. He demonstrated strong comprehensive strength and on-the-spot adaptability, and finally won the gold medal.
In recent years, Guangzhou has relied on the first-mover advantage of the country's first batch of "pilot cities for the integration of industry and education" and based on the development orientation of "investing in people" to cultivate 57 provincial chain master enterprises, linking more than 1,000 chain enterprises and more than 200 cooperative schools to collaboratively educate people.
