Mustafa Schubert explains the truth about the crisis of renewing his contract with Al-Ahly

Mustafa Schubert confirmed in his statements that the negotiations were not disrupted due to the dispute over setting a penalty clause to facilitate his professionalism abroad, as was reported.

Schubert said in television statements: “My presence in Al-Ahly is a blessing from God. I am in my home, and what is between me and Al-Ahly is not contracts. I am one of the club’s sons, and people must understand that it is impossible to violate any club policy.”

He added: "We held a session before the camp, and we agreed that there would be no penalty clause. After the camp, one of the officials explained to me the reasons for not putting the clause in place, and I understood the matter because this is the club's system."

He continued: "The club agreed at first, then we disagreed about the period, and in the end the club changed its decision, and I respected that and renewed my contract without a penalty clause."

He continued: “Al-Ahly has a great credit for us, and I am currently the main goalkeeper for Al-Ahly and the Egyptian national team, and the club has a great credit for me achieving this.”

Schubert concluded his speech with a message to the fans: “I thank them for their presence and support, and I hope that no one will interfere between us in anything, and as long as we are connected, we will win all the championships.”

Al-Ahly had rejected an offer to transfer its international goalkeeper to the Italian club Como in the current summer transfers.
