Jiang Wanan countered You Xikun's life experience joke and questioned the scale of humor "different from Han Guoyu"

Former Legislative Yuan Yu Xikun recently posted a post on a social platform, describing the two candidates for mayor of Taipei as "one adopts a daughter, and the other adopts a grandpa," triggering an attack on the issue of parentage. Taipei Mayor Chiang Wanan attended the beam-laying ceremony of the MRT Jiantan Station multi-purpose building project today. When interviewed, he was asked about this and asked DPP Taipei mayoral candidate Shen Boyang if he thought such a joke was humorous? He also complained that You Xikun "seems to like to make fun of others", which is different from Legislative Yuan Hanguo-yu's style of "often making fun of himself".

Jiang Wanan said that he believed that Han Kuo-yu's speech at the National Day ceremony was meaningful and heartfelt, pointing out that the current constitutional crisis has eroded Taiwan's democratic freedoms. He also criticized the Executive Yuan for violating the principle of separation of powers in the Constitution by not countersigning the law passed on the third reading by the Legislative Yuan. He believed this was an important reason for Han Kuo-yu's National Day speech.

When it comes to sense of humor, Jiang Wanan said that Han Guoyu is a leader in the field and often makes fun of himself, but You Xikun seems to prefer making fun of others. Regarding Shen Boyang's description of You Xikun's speech as humorous, Jiang Wanan responded with a rhetorical question and did not directly comment on Shen Boyang's statement.

The media also asked about the outside world's opinion that Hanguo-yu's remarks were to help Jiang Wanan and prevent him from fighting alone. Jiang Wanan expressed his gratitude to Hanguo-yu, "We have always cooperated closely with President Han and the Legislative Yuan. It is true that there are many needs for the central government to help local governments solve problems through legislation and law amendments, so we continue to cooperate closely and fight side by side."
