The reporter learned from the Hainan Provincial Emergency Management Department that night that as of 18:00, more than 55,000 people in dangerous areas had been evacuated across Hainan Province.

At 16:00 that day, the Hainan Provincial Meteorological Bureau lowered the second-level heavy rain warning to the third-level heavy rain warning. At 17:00, the Hainan Provincial Disaster Prevention, Reduction and Relief Committee adjusted the second-level emergency response for flood control and wind prevention to the third-level emergency response for flood control and wind prevention.

The meteorological department predicts that there will still be heavy rainfall in some areas of Hainan Island from the afternoon to night of the 14th, and relevant units and personnel will continue to take precautions.

In order to ensure the safety of students, cities and counties such as Qionghai, Lingshui, and Baoting in Hainan have issued notices that primary and secondary schools and kindergartens will continue to suspend classes for half a day or one day on the 15th.

The rainfall in Hainan Island is currently slowing down, but due to the large accumulated rainfall, the risk of secondary disasters from heavy rains is high. The Hainan Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Planning and the Hainan Provincial Meteorological Bureau continued to issue a red (level one) geological disaster meteorological risk warning at 17:00 on the 14th. It is expected that from 20:00 on the 14th to 20:00 on the 15th, the risk of rainfall-induced geological disasters in many towns in Wuzhishan and Baoting is very high, and it is a level I risk warning (red warning). Persons in the red warning area who are facing slopes, cliffs, ditches or water should immediately evacuate to nearby shelters in accordance with the instructions of the local disaster prevention department. Personnel entering delineated geological disaster risk areas should be strictly controlled.
