The Reshetnev company began dynamic testing of the Yamal-501 satellite. The state corporation Roscosmos reported this on Telegram.

During the tests, the compliance of the spacecraft design with the specified requirements is verified. “They are checking the engineering qualification model - a copy of the satellite - for transportation, acoustic and vibration loads,” the message says.

Specialists successfully completed transportation tests, which confirmed the strength of the structure during transportation by different modes of transport. At the next stage, Yamal-501 will undergo acoustic and vibration tests that simulate launch into orbit.

The satellite is designed to provide various telecommunication services. The device is based on the universal qualified platform “Express-1000”. Yamal-501 will provide communications and broadcasting in the Ku-band frequencies.
