The 4th "National Aesthetic Education" National Youth Art Popularization Dance Achievements Exhibition kicks off in Hohhot

China News Service, Hohhot, August 21 (Reporter Zhang Wei) On the evening of the 20th, the 4th "National Aesthetic Education" National Youth Art Popularization Dance Achievement Exhibition kicked off in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. After layers of screening, 15 high-quality works from all over the country were put on the main offline stage.

The reporter learned from the organizing committee that the event widely solicited high-quality dance works from across the country. After multiple rounds of rigorous review and selection, a total of 208 works were put on the online performance platform, 84 were selected as nationally recommended plays, and 15 high-quality works appeared on the main offline stage. The event will be broadcast live online simultaneously.

The event kicked off with the prairie-flavored opening dance "Milk Fragrance Piao·Wan Er Qiao". Excellent dance works from all over the country took turns to appear, covering the four major dance types of Chinese dance, modern dance, street dance, and ethnic folk dance, covering young people of different ages and different performance forms. The children used original dance works that were down-to-earth, warm, and full of stories to show a beautiful scene where national charm, interest in life, and youthful vigor coexist.

Sun Yahan, a performer from Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County in Chongqing, stunned the audience with her solo dance "Flowers". She told reporters that before attending the event, a landslide flooded their rehearsal hall and her performance costume could not be "rescued". "It was my mother who rushed day and night to make new costumes and encouraged me to work hard to bloom like a flower no matter how difficult it was."

This exhibition breaks the single stage performance model and builds a multi-dimensional aesthetic education experience system. The event will simultaneously carry out a series of special activities such as aesthetic education special exchange meetings, dance creation master classes, literary and artistic check-in interactions, and intangible cultural heritage immersive folk custom experiences to build a high-quality platform for aesthetic education practitioners and literary and art enthusiasts for professional exchanges, learning and improvement, and innovation and advancement.
