2. 1996年,时年26岁的中国科大毕业生潘建伟,远赴量子力学的诞生地奥地利攻读博士学位。次年,以他为第二作者的论文“实验量子隐形传态”被美国《科学》杂志评为年度全球十大科技进展。但成为国际一流学者并不是他梦想的全部。他的导师量子物理学大师塞林格曾问他:“潘,你的梦想是什么?”他说:“我的梦想是在中国建一个和这里一样的世界一流的量子光学实验室。”2001年,学成归国的潘建伟酝酿搭建中国的量子实验室,开始为实现梦想而努力。他说:“我很喜欢物理,很喜欢科学,但是我也是有祖国的人。”2016年,凝聚潘建伟和团队心血的“墨子号”作为世界首颗量子科学实验卫星成功发射升空,标志着我国走向全球量子通信研究的引领地位。潘建伟说,关键技术他曾经拼命到国外去求,没求来,最后自己咬咬牙把它解决了,而且做到在世界上是最好的了。从“墨子号”到“量子京沪干线”,从“九章号”到“祖冲之号”,潘建伟带领团队一次次突破技术极限,在国际前沿领域书写一个又一个创新传奇。

3. 2009年,潘建伟在北京国家博物馆参观完“复兴之路”主题展后,给大洋彼岸的学生们分别发去短信:“希望努力学习,早日归来,为民族复兴作出贡献!”短信的收件人之一是这个故事的主角——陆朝阳。他和老师潘建伟有一个“约定”,老师推荐他去英国剑桥大学学习量子技术,他承诺学成回国效力,把最新理论和方法带回来。获得物理学博士学位回到中国科大后,陆朝阳与团队向光量子计算领域展开探索,泡实验室、翻中外文献,开几十次头脑风暴会,终于在一个深夜灵感迸发了。思路的突破是令人兴奋的,但灵感变成现实需要的是日复一日的“死磕”。为了赶实验进度,他们连续3个春节都留守在实验室。这场前所未有的巨大挑战最终实现了核心技术突破。“九章四号”首次操纵和探测高达3050个光子的量子态,再度刷新光量子信息技术世界纪录,求解高斯玻式取样问题,比目前全球最快的超级计算机快10⁵⁴倍。陆朝阳提到,“九章四号”的背后有一群平均年龄20多岁的科研人员,他们不断学习、突破、拼搏、传承,靠近光、追随光、成为光、散发光,在青春的赛道上奋力奔跑。谈及这一路的科研历程,陆朝阳说:“在异国他乡,我们像一粒粒散落的种子,吸取营养;回国之后,我们组成了一片森林。”这片“森林”为科研输送源源不断的养分,同他一样的数百名中国科大校友从海外学成归国,成为新的科研尖兵。那些曾在异国吸取营养的“种子”,如今不仅汇聚成林,更培育了新的“树苗”。每一粒种子都有一颗滚烫的中国心,深深扎根在祖国大地。一代代科技工作者,将爱国之情化为报国之行,为了民族的荣光,为了中华的崛起。
