28-year-old Valentina Ioana Tenasie from Tomsani, Dolj County, disappeared on September 20. Before this, the woman’s boyfriend, Vladutsu Baltetsyanu, called her father and said that she was cheating on him. The men talked for 40 minutes, and Tanasie's father tried to convince Baltetsianu that his daughter was faithful to him. In the end, she called her parent herself and said: “Dad, just leave him alone for now. He's drunk and I love him."

However, after this Tanasiye stopped communicating. The next day, the concerned father called Beltetsyan. He said that he was at work and did not communicate with his beloved. Her father contacted the police.

On September 22, fishermen noticed a suitcase floating on the Olt River near the dam. Inside were the remains of Tenasie. The woman was severely beaten before her death. Her ribs were broken and she was hit several times on the head with a hard object. One of the blows turned out to be fatal.

On September 23, Baltetsyan was put on the wanted list. During a search in his house, they found a mattress with multiple red-brown stains, similar to traces of blood. It has not yet been possible to detain the man. Investigators suspect that he may have fled to Hungary.
