The six provinces and regions of Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guizhou and Qiong held a symposium on ecological and environmental law enforcement cooperation

China News Service, Guangzhou, September 13 (Reporter Wang Jian) ​​According to the Guangdong Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment on the 13th, in order to deepen cross-provincial coordination and promote the effectiveness of ecological and environmental law enforcement in the area to a new level, the department recently invited the heads of the ecological and environmental law enforcement departments of the five adjacent provinces (regions) of Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangxi, and Hainan to hold a law enforcement cooperation symposium in Huizhou City, Guangdong.

At the meeting, the Environmental Engineering Assessment Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment put forward guiding opinions on the contradictions and challenges faced by national ecological and environmental law enforcement, as well as the next work goals and work priorities; the Law Enforcement Supervision Office of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment systematically introduced the practice and exploration of ecological and environmental law enforcement in Guangdong Province; representatives of each province (region) spoke in turn, sharing the ecological and environmental law enforcement work and innovative experience, and conducted in-depth discussions on off-site law enforcement supervision, standardized enterprise-related inspections, inclusive and prudent law enforcement, and capacity building of the law enforcement team.

Participants from the six provinces (regions) also had in-depth exchanges on cross-regional ecological and environmental law enforcement cooperation such as linkage between solid waste supervision and law enforcement, cross-provincial cross-law enforcement inspections, joint prevention and control of cross-border watershed pollution, and collaborative disposal of illegally transferred solid waste across provinces. The meeting reached broad consensus on deepening cross-provincial collaboration, improving collaboration mechanisms, strengthening information exchange, unifying law enforcement standards, and strengthening joint law enforcement.

It is understood that this symposium has established a platform for the ecological and environmental law enforcement departments of the six southern provinces (districts) to strengthen work exchanges and deepen law enforcement cooperation. Participants expressed that they would take this symposium as an opportunity to jointly build a joint ecological and environmental law enforcement pattern in the region, further deepen cross-provincial law enforcement cooperation, and escort the construction of a beautiful China with high-level ecological and environmental law enforcement.
