Ulsan Buk-gu Dementia Relief Center establishes a cooperation system with local senior welfare facilities to respond to wandering of dementia seniors

On the 9th, Ulsan Buk-gu Dementia Relief Center announced that it had signed a business agreement with three local senior welfare facilities to establish a cooperation system for the safe return home of wandering seniors with dementia.

Three senior welfare facilities in the Buk-gu region, including Family Love Senior Welfare Center, Gangdong Home Senior Welfare Center, and Maegok Senior Welfare Center, participated in the agreement.

According to the agreement, if centers discover an elderly person with dementia wandering around, they will establish a temporary protection system where they can stay safely until they are handed over to a guardian.

In addition, we organically share information and cooperate with the Dementia Safety Center to ensure the safety of seniors with dementia.

An official from the center said, “We will build a tight community safety net to alleviate family concerns due to the disappearance of elderly people with dementia.”
