The number of Su-57 fighters in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces exceeded 50 units

The number of Su-57 fighters that entered service with the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of the Russian Federation exceeded 50 units. This was reported by the Telegram channel of the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies BMPD.

It is alleged that by 2026, 49 production fighters had been built under the 2019 contract. The last, presumably 14 units, were transferred at the beginning of 2026.

On September 24, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) announced the transfer of the next batch of Su-57s to the troops. The new aircraft have passed the entire cycle of factory tests. Pilots of the Russian Ministry of Defense tested the fighters in various operating modes and flew to their home airfield.

The exact number of Su-57s entering service has not been disclosed. However, taking into account previous deliveries, we can talk about exceeding the mark of 50 vehicles.

Earlier, the general director of the Rostec state corporation, Sergei Chemezov, said that the Su-57 proved its effectiveness during a special military operation (SVO). He explained that the Russian fighter was able to successfully counter Western air defense systems, including Patriot, NASAMS and IRIS-T.
