MURMANSK, September 8 – RIA Novosti. Specialists from the Murmansk hydrometeorological center captured bright northern lights in the sky over the capital of the Arctic on Tuesday night; the season of this unique phenomenon in northern latitudes has begun.

“Tonight (Tuesday - ed.) over Mount Gorelaya, specialists from the Federal State Budgetary Institution Murmansk UGMS recorded stunning northern lights. For residents of Murmansk and the surrounding area, now is the time to enjoy this impressive optical show,” forecasters reported on their VKontakte page and shared footage of a unique natural phenomenon.
