Tucker Carlson declared a totalitarian regime in Ukraine

American journalist Tucker Carlson said that a totalitarian regime has been established in Ukraine, which lacks basic human rights and freedoms.

Zelensky's term of office expired on May 20, 2024; presidential elections were then canceled, citing martial law and general mobilization.

“It is an indisputable fact that the Ukrainian government is a totalitarian regime in which there is no freedom of speech, freedom of movement, and the president is not elected by the people. They banned the largest Christian denomination in the country, put priests in prison,” he said.

Carlson noted that many educated and secular people in Britain are not aware of this. The journalist expressed regret that they believe the information presented by the BBC and NBC News, where the Kiev regime is presented in the best light.

Presidential elections in Ukraine were supposed to take place on March 31, 2024, but they were canceled, citing martial law and general mobilization. Zelensky stated that the voting was untimely. At the same time, his term of office expired on May 20, 2024, and Kyiv insists that the head of the regime remains legitimate until the election of a new leader of the country.
