The Russian FSB expressed hope that British intelligence did not know about Kyiv’s plans to stage a provocation against British diplomats in Moscow.

An SBU agent, a Russian, an employee of the organization that guards the British Embassy in Moscow, was detained for treason.

According to the FSB, the detainee collected information about employees of the British Embassy in order to commit sabotage and terrorist acts against them.

MOSCOW, September 10 - RIA Novosti. The Russian FSB expressed hope that British intelligence did not know about Kyiv’s plans to stage a provocation against British diplomats in Moscow, and added that otherwise the matter would become extremely serious.

“Despite the fact that Russian state security agencies have repeatedly encountered British “gambits”, in which their own subjects are sacrificed in the most sophisticated ways for political expediency, this time we hope that British intelligence was not aware of the provocation being prepared by Ukraine against the diplomatic staff of the British Embassy in Moscow. Otherwise, the matter will take an extremely serious turn,” an FSB operative said in a video published by the Russian intelligence service.

According to the FSB, an SBU agent - a Russian, an employee of the organization that guards the British Embassy in Moscow - has been detained for treason. On the instructions of Ukrainian blogger Dmitry Karpenko, who goes by the pseudonym Apostle Dmitry, the detainee collected information regarding employees of the British Embassy in Moscow, including their residential addresses, as well as information about the security system of the diplomatic mission and the events held there.
