Pusan National University establishes Graduate School of Maritime and International Commercial Law... Training of experts in maritime law and international commercial law

In response to the relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to Busan and the opening of the Maritime International Commercial Court in 2028, Pusan ​​National University will establish a professional education foundation to systematically cultivate experts in maritime affairs and international commercial law.

Pusan ​​National University announced on the 30th that it plans to open the Graduate School of Maritime and International Commercial Law in March next year.

To this end, Pusan ​​National University held a forum with experts in related fields participating in the International Conference Hall of the Mechanical Engineering Building on the 29th and discussed the direction of education and cooperation plans for nurturing talent.

The Graduate School of Maritime and International Commercial Law operates as a master's program in three majors: maritime law, international commercial law, and general law, and the admission quota is 30 students.

It is operated as a 2-year and 6-month, 5-semester evening course to train practical professionals who can respond to legal demands in the field, including the legal profession, companies, and public institutions.

We plan to establish a practice-oriented education system in connection with maritime courts, bar associations, international arbitration institutions, and industry, and to train global legal experts with expertise in international transactions, international arbitration, international investment, and maritime law, as well as convergence legal personnel with legal service capabilities in the industrial field.
