Escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz

In mid-June, the United States and Iran signed a memorandum designed to launch the process of concluding a peace agreement. However, three weeks later, a new round of escalation began: Washington accused Tehran of shelling commercial ships in Hormuz, after which the parties resumed exchanging blows. Currently, there is no free passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
