An arrest warrant is requested for a man in his 60s who brandished a weapon at an acquaintance while drunk in Jeongseon-seo.

Gangwon Jeongseon Police Station announced on the 26th that it had applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A, in his 60s, on charges of swinging a weapon at an acquaintance while drunk (attempted murder).

Mr. A is suspected of attempting to kill Mr. B, an acquaintance in his 60s, by swinging a weapon near a road in Yemi-ri, Sindong-eup, Jeongseon-gun at around 9:15 pm on the 24th, the first day of the Chuseok holiday.

It was discovered that Mr. A was drunk at the time of the incident.

The police dispatched after receiving the report arrested Mr. A immediately at the scene of the incident.

Mr. B was taken to the hospital with serious injuries to his side and thighs, and is said to be in no danger to his life.

Person A reportedly stated to the police, “I don’t remember.”

The interrogation of the suspect before arrest (examination of warrant) is scheduled to be held on the 27th.
