He was 63 years old.

According to the obituary published by the University of International Business and Economics on its official website, Liu Huan was born in Tianjin in August 1963. He came to work at the school in July 1991 as a teacher and associate professor in the Art Teaching and Research Section, and retired in September 2023. He has been teaching for more than 30 years and has been deeply involved in music and aesthetic education. He has received many school teaching commendations. In 2011, he was appointed as a director of the third school board of directors.

The obituary stated that Liu Huan integrated music education, music creation and singing. He was well versed in Chinese and Western studies, had high moral ethics as a teacher, devoted his life to the cause of music, and made important contributions to the development of music education in colleges and universities.

Public information shows that Liu Huan officially entered the music scene in 1987 by singing the theme song of a TV series. Later, he successively released hits such as "Crooked Moon" and "Song of a Hero". In 2008, he sang the theme song "You and Me" with British soprano Sarah Brightman at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics.
