The likelihood of Ronaldo returning to the Portuguese national team has been assessed

The head of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), Pedro Proença, assessed the likelihood of striker Cristiano Ronaldo returning to the national team. His words are quoted by A Bola.

Proenza called for calm and emphasized that all parties to the conflict have already expressed their position. He noted that a standard disciplinary procedure is ahead, and the decision will be made by independent authorities. However, he added that the FPF is committed to returning the captain to the national team as soon as possible.

The head of the federation also referred to the position of head coach Jorge Jesus, who said that if Ronaldo is ready to perform, he will remain on the team. In addition, according to Proenza, the footballer himself really wants to return to the national team and feels happy there.

Earlier, the FPF decided to suspend Ronaldo from playing for the national team. It was noted that the disqualification is temporary.
