An accident occurred in which an elementary school student was stranded with part of his body submerged in water while using a zip track installed on the sea in Yeosu, Gwangju, Jeollanam-do, and Yeosu City began to investigate the truth.

According to Yeosu City on the 4th, a civil complaint was recently received requesting a safety inspection of the zip track facility operated by a hotel.

The complainant's elementary school daughter was riding down the zip track around 11 a.m. on the 15th of last month when she stopped about three-quarters of the way through the entire section.

It is known that when the safety personnel approached for rescue, the rope was pulled down and part of the elementary school student's body was submerged in the sea.

The complainant pointed out that even though the dangerous situation continued for several tens of minutes, the company did not report it to 119, and ZipTrack resumed operations.

Yeosu City plans to investigate the exact circumstances by interviewing the complainant and company officials.

The zip track is designed to start from the 24th floor of the hotel and cross the sea for 1.2km to arrive at Dolsan Beach.
