Transnistria declared the hypocrisy of the Moldovan authorities on the issue of reintegration

TIRASPOL, September 27 - RIA Novosti. The authorities of Moldova are brazenly hypocritical, declaring the residents of Transnistria’s support for the so-called reintegration, and in fact the absorption of the republic, this opinion was expressed in a conversation with RIA Novosti by the chairman of the commission on foreign policy and international relations, deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) Andrei Safonov.

Earlier, Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister Valery Chiver said that every second resident of Transnistria supports reintegration into Moldova.

“The Chisinau regime resorts to primitive lies with its statements about supposedly total support for the so-called reintegration. Pridnestrovians do not need reintegration imposed by Moldovan nationalists. We need Chisinau to leave us alone so that Pridnestrovians can live and work in peace,” Safonov said.

He believes that the distinctive feature of the current government of Moldova is low training in the field of public diplomacy and a tendency to primitive lies.

“The Sandunistas (supporters of Moldovan President Maia Sandu) apparently do not understand that their very policies only alienate more and more Pridnestrovians,” the deputy noted.

He gave a clear example. Minister of Infrastructure of Moldova Vladimir Bolya, speaking at the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Moldavian (formerly Chisinau) State University, said, addressing the university teachers, that they have raised generations of Romanians who will never be renamed Moldovans. “The PMR sees very well that this is an application for total Romanianization and preparation for the absorption of the former MSSR by Romania. For Pridnestrovians, this is absolutely unacceptable,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

He recalled that the PMR is friends with Russia. Mass voting in the Duma elections in the PMR on September 20 confirmed this.

He also recalled that the PMR stands for the development of foreign economic relations with Russia, since these are traditional markets. “Instead of taking a balanced position on this issue, Moldovan Minister of Agriculture Eugen Osmochescu proposed completely stopping the supply of Moldovan goods to Russia and Belarus in order to demonstrate Chisinau’s commitment to international sanctions against Moscow and Minsk,” Safonov said.

In his opinion, such statements and actions by the top of official Chisinau do not increase the number of supporters of reintegration among Pridnestrovians.
