The intact storage capacity of national grain standard warehouses reaches 730 million tons

Today is World Food Day 2026. This year’s theme is “Innovation Now, Food Security Future”. During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, our country will coordinate the stock and increase of grain storage facilities, optimize layout, improve functions, and steadily increase the scale of high-standard grain silos. At present, the intact storage capacity of my country's standard grain warehouses reaches 730 million tons, the capacity of low-temperature and quasi-low-temperature storage grain storage exceeds 250 million tons, the capacity of controlled atmosphere storage grain storage reaches 67 million tons, and a large number of modern smart warehouses are put into use.

In the Qinhuangdao seaport branch directly under Sinograin, as soon as the grain sales truck stopped in the intelligent inspection area, the laser radar automatically identified the vehicle type and grain type, intelligently generated a sampling plan, and completed the sampling in two minutes.

Inspection and inspection guard the entry into the warehouse, and the storage of grain after it enters the warehouse is even more critical. Whether the grain "lives" comfortably or not directly affects the storage quality. The first thing you feel when you walk into the granary is the coolness, which is the secret to keeping food fresh. Low temperature can ensure freshness and stable quality of food. To maintain such a stable storage environment relies on a complete set of grain storage technologies.

Han Shuangqiu, custodian of Sinogranos Qinhuangdao Seaport Branch: This warehouse stores 12,500 tons of corn and uses electronic temperature measurement technology. We also use mechanical ventilation and internal circulation temperature control technology. The combination of these technologies ensures that the average grain temperature in this warehouse remains below 20°C all year round, achieving quasi-low temperature storage.
