Taitung’s second wave of state-owned farmland release: 44 land parcels in Beinan Township announced on the 20th

Following the completion of the release of county-owned farmland and the issuance of rights petitions in February this year, the Taitung County Government continues to promote the release of public land. In the near future, it will process 44 releases of state-owned farmland in Beinan Township. The releases are scheduled to be announced on October 20. It is expected that approximately 38 tenant farmers will benefit. In order to help farmers understand the eligibility for liberation, the application process and the required documents, the county government will hold a briefing session at 10 a.m. on October 27 in the conference room on the 3rd floor of the Beinan Township Office. Qualified farmers are welcome to participate.

The Land Affairs Office of the Taitung County Government pointed out that the Southern District Branch of the State-Owned Property Administration of the Ministry of Finance has launched an inventory of state-owned farmland leases. The scope of land involved in the release of land in Taitung County includes Beinan Township, Taimali Township, Taitung City, Luye Township, Guanshan Township, Chishang Township and other townships. At present, 44 pieces of land in Beinan Township will be announced for release and applications will be accepted starting from the 20th; for other towns and villages, the county government will cooperate with the State-owned Property Department to continue to handle land registration operations, and the Department will compile the relevant inventory and submit it to the Ministry of the Interior’s Public Land Release Review Committee for review, and gradually promote the follow-up release operations.
