EU will provide almost 710 million euros to support displaced people in Africa and emergency assistance around the world

The European Union (EU) will provide almost €710 million to support displaced people and their host communities in sub-Saharan Africa. RIA Novosti reports this.

In addition, the funds will be used to provide emergency assistance to people affected by crises in various regions of the world. The European Commission noted that the funding is intended to help people who find themselves in a difficult humanitarian situation. In particular, support will be provided to displaced people and host communities, as well as those affected by emergencies and other crises.

As specified, sub-Saharan African countries will receive 380 million euros of additional funding for 2026.
