Iran is ready for negotiations and military conflict with the United States, Foreign Minister said

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that Iran is ready for both negotiations and a new military conflict with the United States.

Araqchi stressed that if aggression by the United States resumes, a new military conflict will be as ineffective as before.

Iran handed Washington a seven-day plan to open the Strait of Hormuz, but Trump said he rejected the Iranian proposal.

TEHRAN, September 27 – RIA Novosti. Iran is ready for both negotiations and a new military conflict with the United States, while a new round of American aggression against Tehran will be as ineffective as before, said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.

“We are fully prepared if a new round of aggression begins. We will withstand any aggression, even if it is a Yom Kippur War. At the same time, we are ready for diplomatic negotiations. The choice is up to President (US Donald) Trump,” Araqchi said in an interview with the American television channel NBC.

He added that if aggression by the United States resumes, a new military conflict between Tehran and Washington will be as inconclusive as before.

At the same time, he stressed that Iran is fully ready for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, but only on the condition that Washington accepts the Iranian seven-point plan.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi earlier said that Tehran, through intermediaries, handed over to Washington a seven-day plan to open the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said he rejected the Iranian proposal.

At the same time, as Araqchi said on Sunday night, Iran expects from the mediators a final US response to Iran’s proposals on the Strait of Hormuz, despite Trump’s statement.
