Agu revealed that she had previously heard that Lan Qi was divorced and suffering from cancer. After that, she stopped contacting the outside world. She also refused to answer calls from relatives and friends. Her attitude was very determined, "I just want to fade out of this circle." Later, Lan Qi even gave custody of her son to her ex-husband, and her son is currently working in the China Television News Department.

Agu said: "We didn't know until yesterday, when Wu Min told us about it and gave us the obituary." Agu admitted that she was shocked and reluctant to give up after receiving the news, and immediately contacted Lan Qi's son. Lan Qi's son expressed his gratitude on the phone that his mother often mentioned Agu during her lifetime and was very grateful to Agu for her support and care. Auntie felt deeply sorry after hearing the news and conveyed the bad news to her former comrades such as the CTV Friendship Association. Everyone felt extremely sad that she passed away at such a young age.

Lan Qi was born on March 15, 1954. She entered the entertainment industry at the age of 17. She was active in the Taiwanese film industry in her early years and has filmed many works such as "Little Flower of Tears", "The Life of the Black Widow", "Like Fog and Flowers", and "Dangerous Age". Later, she moved to the television industry and relied on her solid acting skills to perform in dramas such as "The Sword of the King" and "Avalokitesvara". She even played the role of the female judge Tang Mingzhu in "The Fool". Her performance, which combines strength and softness, showed a variety of acting styles, and was by no means limited to the image of a gentle Hua Dan.

She played a leading role in the 1972 China Television Color Hokkien costume chivalrous drama "Goddess Dragon", which contained a large number of fighting scenes. At that time, she always carefully put on knee pads and hand guards before going into battle, but after filming several fierce martial arts, her body was still inevitably covered in bruises. In order to cross over from Taiwanese films and Hokkien dramas to Mandarin dramas, she even subscribed to "Mandarin Daily" to practice her Chinese pronunciation. Her dedication to her profession is admirable.
