At present, an "evacuation instruction" of disaster prevention alert level 4 (the highest level 5) has been issued to 315,456 households in the city and a total of 740,822 people. That means people in dangerous areas need to evacuate immediately.

According to the "NHK" report, the Meteorological Agency predicted at 9:09 am today (27th) (8:09 am Taiwan time) that linear rainbands will appear in the Chikugo area of ​​Fukuoka Prefecture, the Kumamoto area of ​​Kumamoto Prefecture, southern Nagasaki Prefecture, southern Saga Prefecture and other places within 3 hours, that is, linear clouds formed by cumulonimbus clouds, which will cause local heavy rainfall.

As of 5:30 a.m. this morning (4:30 a.m. Taiwan time), 1-hour rainfall reached 110 mm in Omura City, Nagasaki Prefecture, 70 mm in Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and 55.5 mm in the Nagasaki Airport area of ​​Nagasaki Prefecture.

Saga Prefecture, Nagasaki Prefecture, and Kumamoto Prefecture have all issued level 4 landslide disaster warnings. Kumamoto Prefecture also has a level 4 heavy rain danger warning. The authorities call on people in low-lying areas to be careful of landslides, floods and other disasters. Kumamoto City has issued evacuation instructions to all citizens.
