China News Service, Nanning, September 6 (Yang Chen, Song Xialin, Huang Yingying) On September 5, a Pinglu Canal "Iron River-Sea" intermodal transport train carrying "Made in Liuzhou" Yufeng Special Cement was assembled and refitted at the Liujing Operation Area of Nanning Port, marking the successful launch of the "Guangxi Liuzhou-Nanning Port-Pinglu Canal-Hainan Yangpu Port" intermodal train.
This is a new logistics path for materials from the southwest hinterland of China to be assembled at Nanning Port via Liuzhou, then out to sea through the Pinglu Canal, and directly to Hainan Port. The goods have completed inland river connection and assembly at the Liujing Operation Area of Nanning Port. After the Pinglu Canal is officially opened to navigation, they will take the "Guangxing 798" ship directly to the Hainan Port, and the whole journey will be completed in one container. The new channel relies on the advantages of "Iron-Jiang-Sea" multimodal transport. Compared with the traditional "railway arrival at Fangcheng Port in Guangxi + customer self-pickup shipping" model, the voyage is shorter, the transit is less, the timeliness is more stable, and the cost is lower.
As an important transfer node on the river side of the Pinglu Canal for river-sea intermodal transport, Nanning Port has fully completed preparations for navigation and port capacity expansion and upgrading. The customs supervision work site has been officially put into use, achieving efficient connection between the river and the sea, and providing solid support for the seamless connection of multimodal transport after the Pinglu Canal is opened to navigation. The cargo of this train has been assembled and reloaded in the port area to ensure that it is ready for shipment as soon as the Pinglu Canal is opened to navigation.
The first batch of goods is produced by Guangxi Yufeng Group Co., Ltd., whose products widely cover the domestic market and are exported to ASEAN countries. Yufeng Group was the exclusive supplier of special cement for the three core hubs during the construction of the Pinglu Canal. From the "builder" of the canal to the "user" after its future navigation, the company is witnessing and participating in this historical process in a dual capacity. Relying on the new channel, Yufeng Cement is shipped in the form of containers and directly transported by sea. The transportation efficiency is improved and the supply is more stable, which effectively reduces the comprehensive logistics cost and further improves the product market competitiveness.
In order to ensure the implementation of the project, China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as "China Railway Nanning Bureau") established a special service team, formulated a multimodal transport plan, and established a full-process service tracking mechanism. "The freight train departs from the Liuzhou railway freight yard. We coordinate all aspects of railway transportation, highway barges, and loading and unloading operations, refine loading specifications, and do our best to shorten the connection time to ensure safe and efficient shipment of trains." said Wu Peiqin, deputy manager of the Liuzhou South Sales Department of the Nanning Railway Logistics Center of the State Railway Nanning Bureau.
