Rosselkhoznadzor ordered the destruction of the Multikan-8 vaccine series after the death of dogs

Russian regions have begun to receive orders from Rosselkhoznadzor to withdraw from circulation and destroy the 20th series of Multikan-8 vaccines produced by Vetbiohim LLC. Baza reports this with reference to a photograph of the document.

The decision was made after massive complaints about the drug from dog owners who blamed the vaccine for the death of their pets. According to the publication, the total number of victims reached 300 people.

Vetbiohim previously recalled the 20th batch of the vaccine until all the circumstances were clarified, but did not admit there was a problem with it. The company suggested that the problems could have arisen due to “destructive interference by third parties.”

Experts suggested that the reason for this reaction in dogs could be a change in the composition of the drug that did not pass the test, or a deterioration in the quality of production control.
