In order to understand the cultivation of implementation talents in Taiwan's technical and vocational education, the delegation went to Longhua University of Science and Technology's "High-speed Transmission Interface Electronic Assembly Design and Testing Talents and Technology Training Base" to learn how the school combines professional courses, implementation equipment and industry needs to cultivate high-level electronic assembly, testing technology and engineering practice talents.
The delegation also visited the semiconductor production line and practical teaching field of Mingzhi University of Science and Technology to understand the integration of courses, equipment and industry needs. The two parties signed an MOU, which serves as the basis for subsequent academic exchanges, talent cultivation and research cooperation. They also went to Hsinchu to visit Tsinghua University and Yang-Ming Jiaotong University to learn how the two universities combine Hsinchu's technology industry cluster to develop AI, semiconductor and forward-looking technology talents.
Liu Guowei, deputy director of the Ministry of Education, said that SIT has long been invested in engineering, technology and innovation education, and has research capabilities in the fields of AI, information security and quantum technology. Taiwan has a complete technology industry cluster and a higher education talent cultivation foundation. It looks forward to deepening science and technology education, research, teacher-student exchanges and industry-government-university-research cooperation between the two sides through inter-school visits and MOU.
Farvardin said that during this trip, he communicated with many universities in Taiwan and learned more about the development of higher education and technology industries in Taiwan. In the future, he hopes to expand talent cultivation and research cooperation in engineering technology, AI, and semiconductors, and create more cross-border cooperation opportunities for teachers, students, and researchers.
The Ministry of Education stated that in the face of the rapid development of global science and technology and industrial transformation, it will continue to connect higher education and industrial resources in Taiwan and the United States, and support universities in both countries to deepen semiconductor and key technology talent cultivation, transnational learning and practical cooperation based on their respective characteristics.
