The Ministry of Education releases the 2027 National Master’s Degree Enrollment Management Regulations

The Ministry of Education recently issued the "2027 National Master's Degree Enrollment Management Regulations" (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations"), deploying all postgraduate admissions units in various regions to conduct the 2027 National Master's Degree Examination enrollment work.

The "Regulations" point out that all local admissions units must further strengthen the construction of postgraduate admissions systems and mechanisms, refine and improve management measures, tighten and consolidate the chain of responsibilities, and ensure the implementation of various system requirements. The admissions unit must effectively implement the main responsibilities, further give full play to the overall coordination, review and control role of the postgraduate admissions committee of the unit, coordinate and promote the admissions work, and review major matters such as admissions regulations and proposed admission results.

The "Regulations" require that all enrollment units in various places must adhere to the candidate-oriented approach, continue to optimize candidate services, carefully carry out policy publicity and interpretation, consultation responses and other service guarantees, implement admission information disclosure requirements, unblock candidates' petition reporting channels, establish and improve the mechanism for handling complaints upon receipt, and effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of candidates.

The "Regulations" clearly state that the preliminary examination for national master's degree admissions in 2027 will be from December 19 to 20, 2026. The registration time is from October 15 to October 24, 2026 (the pre-registration time is from October 9 to October 12, 2026, and relevant work arrangements are determined and announced by each provincial education admissions examination agency), 9:00-22:00 every day. The "China Graduate Admissions Information Network" will further upgrade the registration system and optimize the registration photo collection mode. Candidates can directly take and upload their own photos online through the Xuexin.com APP. It will simplify the candidate registration process and promote the integration of online registration and online confirmation. After filling in the application information, candidates will submit verification materials together to achieve "one-stop" registration. The admissions units and application sites will review the candidates' registration information and submitted materials in accordance with relevant regulations to determine the candidates' qualifications for the examination. Candidates under special circumstances such as submitted materials that do not meet the requirements must submit supplementary materials on time according to the review requirements. All candidates must complete the registration within the specified time, and no re-registration is allowed after the deadline.

The "China Graduate Admissions Information Network" will launch the "2027 National Master's Admissions Promotion and Consultation Activity" from September 26 to 29, 2026. At that time, all admissions units will answer candidates' inquiries online.
