The historical and documentary exhibition “Nuremberg. Lessons from History”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the verdict of the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg.

The exhibition features more than 300 exhibits, including unique documents, photographs, newsreel fragments and other materials exposing the crimes of Nazism.

Among the exhibits are the verdict of the Nuremberg Tribunal, transcripts of its meetings and documents testifying to the atrocities of the Nazi invaders against the civilian population of the USSR and prisoners of death camps.

MOSCOW, September 15 - RIA Novosti. The historical and documentary exhibition "Nuremberg. Lessons of History", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the verdict of the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg, which presents numerous materials exposing the crimes of Nazism, opened in the Exhibition Hall of the Federal Archives in Moscow, reports a RIA Novosti correspondent.

More than 300 exhibits from the collections of federal and departmental archives of the Russian Federation and other archives are presented in a single exhibition space. As the organizers of the exhibition emphasize, among the exhibits are unique documents, photographs, fragments of newsreels, reproductions of drawings, and documentary evidence of the first public trial in world history of the highest political and military leadership of Nazi Germany.

The first section, “The Court of Nations,” presents documentary evidence of the preparation and conduct of the International Military Tribunal. The documents of the second section “Without the right to be forgotten” tell about the atrocities of the Nazi invaders against the civilian population of the USSR. The documents in the final section of the exhibition show the Nuremberg trials through the eyes of Soviet artists.

Among the documents presented are the verdict of the Nuremberg Tribunal; transcripts of a number of its meetings; German directive on economic management in the eastern regions subject to occupation (the so-called “Green Folder”); order of the Reich Minister of the Eastern Occupied Territories Alfred Rosenberg on the fight against resistance to the German authorities in the occupied territories; Hitler's directive on the seizure of Crimea, Donbass, the blockade of Leningrad and the destruction of Soviet troops.

The exhibition also presents materials about the monstrous atrocities of the Nazis against prisoners of death camps - including instructions for using an apparatus for degreasing human bones in the Auschwitz concentration camp and the need to register over 120 female prisoners of Auschwitz as “prisoners for experiments.”
