2007년생 김준우는 24일 일본 도쿄 아쿠아틱스센터에서 열린 대회 경영 남자 자유형 800m 결승에서 7분43초86으로 터치패드를 찍어 일본의 다부치 가이토와 공동 2위에 올랐다.
이 종목 '디펜딩 챔피언' 김우민(강원특별자치도청)이 어깨 부상 여파로 출전을 포기한 가운데 홀로 나선 김준우는 2번 레인에서 출발해 레이스 내내 상위권을 유지하며 놀라운 역주를 펼쳤다.
