Putin awarded the honorary name “Guards” to two radio engineering units

Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the honorary name “Guards” to the 318th separate special-purpose radio engineering regiment and the 92nd separate special-purpose radio engineering brigade.

The honorary title was awarded for mass heroism and courage, steadfastness and courage shown by personnel in combat operations.

The documents come into force from the date of their signing, September 28.

MOSCOW, September 28 - RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the honorary name "Guards" to the 318th separate radio engineering regiment for special purposes and the 92nd separate radio engineering brigade for special purposes; the corresponding decrees are posted on the website of the official publication of legal acts.

“For the massive heroism and courage, perseverance and courage shown by the brigade’s personnel in combat operations to defend the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, I decree: to assign the 92nd separate radio engineering brigade (special purpose) the honorary name “Guards” and henceforth to call it: 92 separate guards radio engineering brigade (special purpose),” it says in the document.

By another decree, Putin assigned the honorary name “Guards” to the 318th separate special-purpose radio engineering regiment.
