وقال المتحدث باسم مجلس النواب، عبدالله بلحيق، في حسابه عبر فيسبوك: "صوّت مجلس النواب بالإجماع على اعتماد مذكرة التفاهم الموقعة بين حكومة الوفاق الوطني وحكومة الجمهورية التركية حول تحديد مجالات الصلاحية البحرية في البحر الأبيض المتوسط".

وأضاف أيضًا أن المجلس صوّت بالإجماع "على إلغاء قراري مجلس النواب رقم (1) لسنة 2020.م بشأن رفض المصادقة على مذكرتي التفاهم المبرمتين بين حكومة الوفاق الوطني والحكومة التركية وقرار مجلس النواب رقم (6) لسنة 2020.م بشأن قطع العلاقات السياسية مع الجمهورية التركية".

كان مجلس النواب الليبي انتخب الصالحين عبد النبي، رئيسًا جديدًا للمجلس وذلك خلال جلسة في السابع من الشهر الجاري، خلفًا لرئيسه السابق عقيلة صالح.

في عام 2019، وقعت حكومة الوفاق الوطني السابقة في طرابلس مذكرة تفاهم مع تركيا، أثارت احتجاجات رسمية من مصر واليونان ووصلت إلى أروقة الأمم المتحدة عبر مذكرات احتجاج.
